About Me

Who is Furious Ideas and Just What Makes Him Tick? The Man, The Myth, The Fury

My entire life I've been very passionate about art and music. Photography is something that's always been there as an interest but I never had any great camera or even took it all that seriously. In the early 2000's I used to buy disposable cameras and take pictures at punk shows and parties. In 2005 I got my first digital compact and a friend of mine then asked me to take photos of her in some new items she had picked up. Of course I said yes. About a year later my first digital camera had an unfortunate run-in with liquid latex getting completely soaked from an event I went to called Zombie Prom. After speaking to a local photographer online at the time I was inspired and encouraged to by my first DSLR and it was 2 days or so after that conversation that I purchased the Nikon D50. I have upgraded to a Nikon D90 since but still have my D50 and have used it to teach my daughter who also shows quite an interest in photography.

I would consider my passion mostly to be in commercial photography focusing on portraits and working with models, though I also love capturing that one moment in time that may never present another like it ever, a single moment in time to be preserved forever. As a photographer I'm quite fascinated with good lighting color, or lack there of, and composition in a photograph and feel it's key in creating a mood or feeling.

In addition I should probably clarify that I'm not angry, Furious Ideas came from a nickname I received from a friend who one night after playing a show, I play drums in a band, dubbed me the nickname fury... I suppose for the way I play. The name stuck and thus Furious Ideas was born.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me.

Yours Truly,

Mr. Fury
